Robbi and I are very excited to now be offering this fabulous new gourmet tour expereince, exploring the beauty, culture and rich gastronomic traditions of eastern France featuring Lyon, Burgundy and Alsace.

You will enjoy many highlights, delights and delicious surprises along the way as we explore more of the wonderful places, people and experiences that we have discovered during our 25 years of research, combined with ongoing new discoveries, to create a unique and delightful journey, "just for you" that highlights our Aroma Tours style, foodie fascination and interest in the genuine and offbeat.

Experience the three wonderful lands of north western Italy, from the magnificent city of Milan in Lombardy to the glorious vine clad hills and beautiful perched villages of Pedemonte and the stunning Ligurian coast, world renowned for its fine seafood, olive oil, white wines and gorgeous seaside villages.

Savour the rich gastronomic traditions of Italy and enjoy some of the world's finest wines as we experience wonderful meals created with skill and passion in beautiful restaurants with plenty of time to appreciate the tantalizing contrast of flavours and aromatic delights from finest gourmet cuisine to delicious traditional fare. Fine food and wines are a feature of this tour and your taste buds will be tantalized in some of France's finest restaurants, from hidden gastronomic treasures, to spectacular 3 Michelin star fine dining; with a total of 7 Michelin stars during our week together.

Our first hotel is a fabulous 5 star lux spa resort nestled on a hilltop amongst the vines of Pedemont with sweeping views, followed by a delightful 4 star luxury alpine lodge perched above the Aoste valley with spectacular views of mountains and alpine valleys. We then retire to our beautiful 4 star seaside hotel on the shores of the blue Mediterranean. Our accommodation is at three elegant 4 and 5 star small luxury hotels, each with its own unique style and character. Each hotel offers delightful rooms and facilities and is situated within easy walking distance of the beautiful places we will be visiting.

Daily Itinerary

Rendezvous at our beautiful 4 star hotel in the heart of Lyon followed by a "highlights and secrets of Lyon" tour by private coach. Time to freshen up and relax then a leisurely walk through the colourful and historic streets to dinner at a legendary Lyonaise bistro patronized in the past by celebrities and presidents.

Fascinating walking tour of Lyon with our charming and knowledgeable guide Virginie, followed by lunch at a fabulous 2 Michelin starred restaurant, renowned for its exceptional contemporary cuisine. Visit to the Beaux Arts museum then leisure time for shopping and exploring.

Visit to a spectacular 17th century chateau and gardens, followed by an exploration of the vine clad countryside of Burgundy, dotted with beautiful small villages famous for their world renowned wines, including the "Route des Grands Crus". Check in to our elegant 5 star hotel. Dinner at our hotel.

Fascinating guided tour through historical Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy; including the spectacular 15th century Hotel-Dieu Hospice. Lunch at a fabulous Michelin starred restaurant followed by a delightful wine tasting. Evening at leisure to shop and explore.

Scenic drive through beautiful countryside to enjoy a fabulous Michelin starred lunch. Visit to the world's largest automobile collection, La Cite de l'Automobile. Check in to our fabulous 5 star hotel in the heart of Colmar. Evening at leisure to shop and explore.

Guided walking tour of Colmar, followed by lunch at a world renowned 3 Michelin star restaurant - the gastronomic highlight of our tour. Evening at leisure to shop and explore one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Enjoy exploring the beautiful villages of Alsace along the Route du Vin. Lunch in a pictuesque village then on through glorious vines and villages to a tutored wine tasting at one of Alsace's finest wineries. Farewell drinks and canapes to celebrate our lovely week together.

Depart for Strasbourg airport with arrival expected at 11am. We will then continue on to the Strasbourg railway station with arrival expected at about midday.
